INFLAMING MIND AND HEART Challenges For Developing A Radiant Personality HEDWIG LEWIS SJ
For information regarding this book CLICK HERE
This book offers reflections on various aspects of life, from a prismatic perspective. Each chapter works out a ‘theme’ with a collection of inspirational inputs from “unknown authors” that appear every now and then on the internet. These have been slightly adapted or edited. There are nine themes: Life, Personality, Perspectives, Attitudes, Influences, Convictions, Release, Relationships, and Life-Force. As the title suggests, this book challenges you to set your mind and heart aflame. When there is fire within you, your life lights up. This book will charge your emotions and enlighten your mind so that you radiate happiness and excitement, qualities of a person who is fully human and fully. It will motivate you to reach out to others in love and service, with God’s blessings. [Back cover] Inflame your mind and heart on a “slow fire”. That is, do not read the book at a stretch but take one unit at a time and – like a burning candle – use it for as long as it enlightens you. Hopefully, as you get more and more “enlightened” you will find yourself developing the qualities that make a person “fully human and fully alive”. Charged with emotions, you will feel motivated to reach out to others in love and service, by the grace of God. [Foreword]

Prayer for a Radiant Mind and Heart
An excerpt
Understand Yourself
Everybody knows… You can’t be all things to all people. You can’t do all things at once. You can’t do all things equally well. You can’t do all things better than everyone else. Your humanness is showing just like everyone else’s. So You have to find out who you are and be that. You have to decide what comes first, and do that. You have to discover your strengths and use them. You have to learn not to compete with others. Because no one else is in contest with being you. Then You will have learned to accept and love your own uniqueness. You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions. You will have learned to live with and possibly surpass your limitations. You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due. And you will be a most vital mortal. Dare to Believe That you are a wonderful, unique person. That you are a once-in-all-history event. That it is more than a right, it is your duty to be who you are. That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish. And you will be able to stay one up on what used to get you down.

I enjoyed reading the book "Inflaming mind and heart." The book is very inspiring and challenging. The topics too are relevant. It makes one truly human and vibrant. Sr. Mercy, Provincial of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Mary of the Angels, Mhow, Indore M.P. 16 September 2010
I found your book very inspiring and also very suitable for Initial Formation of our young Sisters here in Kenya, Zambia and Africa. We have a common Novitiate for them in Lusaka, Zambia. The book is a great help for prayer, for building up a healthy self-esteem and for living a good, balanced life. Thank you.
